Our national fleet of cranes means we can either hire out single cranes for one-off lifts or manage multiple units on-site for the most complex of contract lift requirements.
We specify a range of cranes, including mobile, crawler and mobile tower cranes of up to 1000t, all accompanied by a fully qualified crane operator who will work to your pre-designed Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS).
As part of the rental process, you would be fully responsible for supervising the work undertaken and would have full liability for the lift. It is therefore essential that you have a suitably qualified Appointed Person with the appropriate training, knowledge and skillset.
The Appointed Person is also responsible for slinging and signalling duties. We know the slightest error during the lift planning process could result in safety risks and great cost to your company, so we always recommend that your Appointed Person has full awareness of the extensive planning and legal requirements that are required.

We will work alongside you every step of the way, especially when it comes to safety. Large businesses with regular experience of lifts will often have designated Appointed Persons who are able to undertake the required preparation and supervision. But don’t worry – if you prefer for Ainscough to supervise the full process and liabilities involved, a contract lift would be the appropriate choice.
If you’re unsure which the best option for you, just get in touch with our team to discuss your requirements in detail.
